Yes, there was Grace in the Covenant of Moses, but in BOTH Covenants, the priority was not Duty, but Devotion. If God’s covenant with us is based on Devotion, why are our covenants with each other based on Duty?

Duty focuses on doing, Devotion focuses on being
Duty asks which programmes work, Devotion works with or without programmes
Duty records results, Devotion runs races
Duty evaluates, Devotion just values
Duty focuses on behavior, Devotion focuses on a Saviour
Duty insists on action, Devotion inspires it
Duty is hard work, Devotion works hard
Duty looks for methods, Devotion loves the mission
Duty needs a special emphasis, Devotion needs Spirit empowering.
Duty compares with others, Devotion communes with others
Duty is emotion for causes, Devotion is caused by emotion
Duty is passionate for service, Devotion serves with passion
Duty says do it for God, Devotion lets God do it though you
Duty is religious activity, Devotion is Spiritual Service
Duty calls volunteers, Devotion casts vision
Duty is natural, Devotion is Supernatural
Duty wants others to serve, Devotion wants to serve others
Duty loves structure, Devotion’s structure is love
Duty needs committees, Devotion needs commitment
Duty loves the end result, Devotion’s end result is love
Duty has specific instructions, Devotion needs no instruction
Duty spells out, Devotion spills over
Duty loves power, Devotion’s power is love
Duty manipulates, Devotion motivates
Duty loves to be successful, Devotion is successful because it loves
Duty tries to save it’s life and loses it, Devotion loses it’s life and saves it
